DIRECTIONS / COVERAGE

Dilution: 1 part Ground Glue Tech-Tonic concentrate to 3 parts water.

Coverage: 100 ft² per gallon of concentrate.

General: Ensure application and mixing equipment is thoroughly washed immediately after application. Sprayers should be thoroughly flushed with hot water and soap after application. Allow surfaces to dry before reintroducing traffic. Allow 24 hours to cure before load or water (including rainfall) are applied to the treated surfaces. Remove excess product (e.g. overspray areas) by rinsing with water prior to the product drying. Likewise, thoroughly flush with water any foliage which may have accidentally been oversprayed with Ground Glue Tech-Tonic.

SURFACE PREPARATION

Mineral substrates — soil, sand, gravel, decomposed granite, crushed rock, shell.
Scarify the surface 1–2” deep. Apply Ground Glue Tech-Tonic. Compact.

Cellulose substrates — mulch, wood chips, bark, sawdust, straw, hay, pine needles.
Rake the surface. Compact. Apply Ground Glue Tech-Tonic.

APPLICATION METHODS

Good — single application. Apply one treatment topically with a sprayer or watering can. Apply lightly until the surface appears moist.

Standard — three applications. Recommended. Lightly apply until the surface appears moist. Repeat twice, allowing approximately one hour between applications. Three thin applications penetrate and bind better than one heavy application, and deliver substantially better coverage economy. The published coverage rate of 100 ft² per gallon is based on this method.

Best — pre-treat before installation. Treat gravel, sand, soil or mulch substrates prior to installation. Using a shovel, trowel or similar device, mix clean, dry substrate with Ground Glue Tech-Tonic in a container such as a wheelbarrow, drum or bucket(s). After thorough mixing, transfer and level the treated substrate onto the intended site. This method yields the greatest coverage and effectiveness. Install pre-treated substrate in layers no greater than 2”. For layers deeper than 2”, allow an additional 48 hours of drying time — three days total — before load or water is applied.
